“Shred” is the new EP from Pete Kaltenburg (Dear Deer), opening with a funky, fresh, 80s-esque track, layered with a yin & yang style of sound; incorporating soft light notes with a dark, gritty bursts of deep synth, working in harmony to create an aural art.
Remixes come courtesy of ED ED (Defected / OFF / Moodmusic), who adds an experimental tone reminiscent of more avant-garde 90’s house; and Rick Grant (Man Make Music / Save You), with an altogether more liquid, subtle and wavy reimagining of the original.
“Who Minds” keeps that nostalgic sense of new found sound in an alternate era; a novel experience for the ears, with Ross Waldemar’s (MEME) remix taking the groove down low, with random pulses of swelling synths dropping into the ever-moving beat and rhythms of its inspiration.
